Growing up as a Canadian-born Chinese has shaped my unique perspective on life, blending cultural influences and personal experiences. This perspective has further been enhanced by my journey of navigating through life's uncertainties, my own path to healing, and the profound role of motherhood to two young children. With a holistic, nonjudgmental, and empathic approach, my aim is to deeply understand your emotions, struggles, and viewpoints, fostering a genuine connection. Through thoughtful inquiry and attentive listening, I strive to grasp the subtle nuances of your experiences, creating a space where you can feel truly heard and validated. My focus is to help you build greater self-awareness, strengthen the mind-body connection, and make the desired changes in your life. You are the expert of your own life, and I approach our sessions with respect for your values, choices, and beliefs.  

Drawing from a diverse range of therapeutic approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and sensorimotor psychotherapy, my practice is deeply rooted in understanding and compassion. With a Master of Education degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia, I bring both academic knowledge and practical experience to my work as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors.

Over the years, I've had the privilege of working in various settings, from community organizations to post-secondary institutions, and now in private practice. Through these experiences, I've walked alongside individuals from all walks of life, each facing their own unique challenges – whether it's anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, self-esteem issues, life transitions, or everyday stressors.

 

In our sessions, you can expect a supportive and empathetic space where we'll explore your experiences and emotions with a focus on growth and healing. Together, we'll navigate the journey of self-exploration, personal growth, and change, with humility and compassion. Remember, you're not alone – I'm here to support you every step of the way.
