Why Online Counselling?
Online counselling offers several benefits:
Convenience - Therapy can be accessed from the comfort of your own home or anywhere with internet access; eliminating the need for travel time and making it easier to fit sessions into busy schedules.

Accessibility - Online counseling removes barriers to accessing mental health services for individuals who live in rural or remote areas, have mobility limitations, or are unable to attend in-person sessions for other reasons.

Privacy - Some clients may feel more comfortable discussing sensitive issues in the privacy of their own environment, away from the potential stigma associated with visiting a therapist's office.

Continuity of Care - For individuals who may travel frequently or relocate temporarily, online counseling can provide continuity of care by allowing them to continue therapy with the same counselor regardless of their location.
Is Counselling For Me?
Therapy can benefit anyone who is experiencing emotional distress, struggling with life transitions, facing relationship difficulties, Therapy offers valuable support to individuals navigating various challenges such as emotional distress, life transitions, relationship difficulties, or a quest for personal growth. Whether you're grappling with overwhelming emotions, adapting to significant life changes, encountering interpersonal conflicts, or simply striving for self-improvement, therapy can provide a safe and supportive space to explore your concerns and goals. If you're uncertain about whether therapy is the right fit for you, I encourage you to consider scheduling a consultation. During this initial meeting, we can delve deeper into your specific circumstances, discuss your needs and objectives, and determine how therapy can best support you on your journey towards healing and personal growth.
What is Counselling with Wenny like?
I approach therapy from a person-centered perspective, which means I meet you where you are. My role is to provide support and validation while also gently challenging you to identify and disrupt patterns that may be hindering you or leaving you feeling stuck.

You are the expert of your own life. I am committed to helping you build connections between your inner world (thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, values, perceptions) and your outer world experiences (everything that surrounds you), uncover your strengths, and support you in building positive relationships with yourself and others.
How Long and How Often Do I Need To Go To Therapy?
The duration of therapy varies for each individual and depends on factors such as the nature of your concerns, your goals for therapy, and your progress over time. Some individuals may find relief in a few sessions while others may find ongoing support more beneficial for their concerns. Counselling is a process, change will sometimes be easy and quick, but more often it can be slow and frustrating. There are no instant, painless cures, and no "magic wands". However, you can learn new ways of looking at problems that will be very helpful for changing your feelings and reactions.

For new clients, typically, weekly or biweekly appointments are most beneficial for building the therapeutic relationship, offering continuity of care, deepening exploration of issues, building coping skills and accountability. Once clients feel less stuck and more confident, they often dial back the frequency to once every three or four weeks for maintenance or as a way to check-in with themselves. It is common for people to come and go from counselling – returning when new challenges or when events arise for which they would like further support.
